ETBD Social Media Marketing

As a Social Media Marketing Intern for ETBD, I help share the story of Miami University’s creative and innovative program. I manage and create content for Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok that showcases student projects, events, and study abroad opportunities. I work closely with faculty and peers to ensure each post aligns with ETBD’s mission of combining creativity, technology, and business innovation.

My responsibilities include planning and scheduling social campaigns, capturing and editing photos and videos, and analyzing engagement metrics to improve performance. I also contribute to recruitment efforts, such as promoting the ETBD Luxembourg cohort, to help future students discover and connect with the program.

I created and edited a promotional video for Miami University’s Emerging Technology in Business and Design (ETBD) program to highlight the opportunity for students to study abroad in Luxembourg. The video showcases footage of the MUDEC campus, the city, and student experiences to inspire ETBD majors to apply. I selected and edited clips, added text overlays, and structured the video to capture attention on social media while clearly communicating key details about the program and application deadlines. The final piece was featured on ETBD’s official social media channels to support recruitment for the Fall 2026 cohort.

As part of my ETBD Social Media Internship, I created this promotional reel to showcase the London Design Interactive 2026 study abroad program. I researched details provided by Professor Michael Bailey-Van Kuren and crafted concise, engaging copy to appeal to Miami students across majors. The goal was to communicate the program’s real-world, client-based experience in an energetic and visually appealing way.

Social media carousel design emphasizing typography, layout composition, and visual storytelling. Created to promote a London study abroad experience while maintaining clarity, engagement, and brand consistency.

As part of my ETBD Social Media Marketing Internship, I created content introducing the 2025–2026 ETBD Social Media Team. I gathered team information, including names, majors, and hometowns, then designed a carousel for Instagram and a professional announcement post for LinkedIn.

The Instagram post highlighted our personalities and team dynamic in a more casual, student-focused tone to engage the ETBD community. The LinkedIn post used a polished, professional voice to reach faculty, alumni, and potential employers while maintaining consistent branding across both platforms.

Both posts were designed to strengthen community connection and visibility for the ETBD Social Media Team across multiple channels.

Designed a multi-slide Instagram carousel highlighting unique and lesser-known ETBD courses. The concept uses a file-folder visual system to organize information by category, creating a clear and engaging way to present course details. Focused on typography, hierarchy, and consistency to ensure readability while maintaining a cohesive and visually distinctive identity across all slides.

Designed a multi-slide LinkedIn post highlighting “hidden gem” ETBD courses to support student awareness during scheduling season. The concept focuses on clear information hierarchy, strong typographic contrast, and a minimal, high-impact visual system to improve readability and engagement. Each slide presents course details in a structured format, making complex academic information more accessible and visually compelling.

Developed an interactive Instagram post and story series inspired by March Madness to increase awareness and engagement with ETBD courses. The bracket-style design gamifies course discovery, making the selection process more engaging and shareable. Created with scalability in mind, allowing for updates and a final results reveal as the campaign progresses.
